Dublin band Florence Road are turning young adult anxieties into infectious rock, taking aim at the same soaring heights as Wolf Alice and Alanis Morissette. Their immersive tracks from the latest EP Spring Forward will ring out at Prague’s MeetFactory on May 6, 2027.
Tickets on sale from October 9, 10:00, at GoOut.
After Florence Road—Lily Aron (vocals), Emma Brandon (guitar), Ailbhe Barry (bass), and Hannah Kelly (drums)—won a music contest they found out about on their school bulletin board, they were given the opportunity to record and release a song. And so the single “Another Seventeen” was born, the band’s second original song. Since then, they’ve played dozens of shows all over Dublin and have been writing songs like there’s no tomorrow. “On the release night of ‘Another Seventeen’, we wrote two songs at 11pm when we were waiting for it to come out, and we’ve never stopped,” says singer Lily Aron.
They’ve already opened for the stellar Olivia Rodrigo on her Guts Tour and collaborated with leading producers such as Dan Wilson (Laufey, Mitski) and Dan Nigro (Chappell Roan, Olivia Rodrigo). Their latest EP, Spring Forward, delivers immersive and emotional rock and heralds a stellar future for the band.
