RIAA Diamond-certified, multi-platinum group Foster the People has become a global sensation with their vibrant dance-fueled pop music, boasting nearly 8 billion streams & 2.5 billion YouTube views. Formed in LA in 2009 by multi-instrumentalist Mark Foster, they exploded onto the scene with their 2010 debut single, “Pumped Up Kicks,” which topped Billboard’s “Alternative Songs” chart & spent 8 weeks at #3 on the Hot 100. The RIAA Diamond-certified song, with 14x Platinum sales in the US, earned a Grammy nomination for “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” & a 2012 Billboard Music Award. The song’s video also entered YouTube’s Billion Views Club.

The band is coming to the Prague show with their latest album Paradise State of Mind, which was recorded in 2024 in the legendary recording studio The Church. Mark Foster didn’t show up at The Church, his old friend and collaborator Paul Epworth’s studio in North London, expecting to dive full force into a new Foster the People album. He arrived without any expectations at all, just excited to be traveling internationally for the first time in a couple years, and eager to reconnect with Epworth after almost a decade. He didn’t realize at the time that Paradise State of Mind was about to be born, its title track written and recorded hours after he set foot in the door.
