Hands Like Houses are known for their unique combination of melodic vocals and heavy guitars, which blend with elements of metalcore and alternative rock. Their latest single, “Love & Affection,” is in the same vein. The band has sold out tours around the world, earned recognition from fans and critics alike, and had two albums reach the Top 10 on Australia’s ARIA chart.
Broadside draws inspiration from bands such as The Killers, AFI, Kings of Leon, and Taking Back Sunday, and their sound combines nostalgic rock energy with a modern pop-rock sensibility. The album Hotel Bleu (2023) represented a bold chapter in their work, using the motif of the transience of hotel stays as a metaphor for self-reflection, fleeting moments, and personal transformation. The album became a significant milestone in their career, garnering over 100 million streams and laying the foundation for their latest EP, Dark Passenger (2026).
