Inspired by Japanese anime, Lake Malice creates a unique blend of metalcore, hyperpop, and nu-metal. With their upcoming album I Wanna Know If It’s Real, they’re announcing their return to the Czech Republic! They’ll be performing at Café V lese on September 26, 2026.

The band consists of Alice Guala and Blake Cornwall from Brighton, UK. They debuted with their first single, “Blossom,” just five years ago, but already have two Heavy Music Awards nominations under their belt in the “Best UK Breakthrough Artist” and “Best Breakthrough Live Artist” categories. They have toured alongside acts like Enter Shikari, Skindred, Bloodywood, Vukovi, and Vended. Czech fans might remember them as support for Enter Shikari or Blackout Problems. In 2025, they also made their debut appearance at Rock for People.
Their debut album, titled I Wanna Know If It’s Real, is set for release on September 11, 2026. Speaking about the record, vocalist Alice Guala said: “We wrote this album thinking about how we wanted something autobiographical, but also able to capture a moment in history and the feelings of a generation. As millennials, we’ve gone through such a unique and drastic change in how we manage our social connections and how self-worth is measured, and we’re now also witnessing the advent of AI, which is a crucial part of what inspired this record,” says vocalist Alice Guala. “In a matter of a few decades, we lived without the internet, then with social media, and now with AI.”
