Big emotions demand a bigger sound. Movements know this all too well—on their latest album, Happier Now, they are trying to convince themselves they’re happy more than anyone else. They’ll bring their layered, spellbinding riffs to Futurum Music Club on March 6, 2027. They will be joined by Gouge Away.
Tickets on sale from September 18, 10:00, at GoOut.
Patrick Miranda (vocals), Austin Cressey (guitar/bass), Ira George (guitar), and Spencer York (drums) formed Movements in 2015 and have since accumulated over 775 million streams. For their latest album, Happier Now (2026), they joined forces with Grammy Award-winning producer Will Yip (Turnstile, Title Fight, Circa Survive).
“The album title is a little tongue-and-cheek because if you actually read the lyrics, it’s a pretty dark record,” Miranda explains. “Happier Now is an extremely personal record and when I started to write the lyrics for these songs, I realized maybe I wasn’t doing as well as I thought I was doing,” he admits. “I’m in an objectively better place than I used to be, but when you struggle with depression, that never fully goes away.”
Happier Now sends listeners on a journey packed with infectious, chill-inducing riffs, tackling raw, deeply personal topics that resonate with us all.
