Show Me The Body are a New York City-based hardcore trio consisting of Julian Cashwan Pratt (banjo, vocals), Harlan Steed (bass), and Jackie McDermott (drums). They released their “Yellow Kidney” single independently in 2015, followed by the SMTB EP. Since then, they’ve been sweating blood on stage, masterfully blending elements of punk and hip-hop.
The upcoming album Alone Together drops on July 10, and is perfectly encapsulated by a line from the song “Alone Interlude”: “Blessed are those who stand alone.” The record is one part untamed punk dirge, one part riotous celebration. It’s a work full of contrasts, exploring both immense love and immense loss. Yet, it’s still the untamable Show Me The Body—frantic drums, throbbing bass, and banjo!
