The Leeds-based band Yard Act will be stopping by twice this year! Following their summer set at Rock for People 2026, they’ll arrive at MeetFactory on October 13, 2026, where they’ll showcase their new dance-oriented sound.

The success that the band’s debut album The Overload brought them is every aspiring artist’s dream. The album reached number two on the charts, earned them a Mercury Prize nomination, and eventually even saw Elton John join them on a reworked version of the closing track “100% Endurance.”
Although Yard Act became famous for their post-punk rhythms, in recent years they have ventured into entirely new territory of electronic groove and disco beats. On their latest album, Where’s My Utopia? (2024), they ponder what you do when all your dreams come true, but your inner restlessness doesn’t go away. Musically, this is a major leap forward; the songs are interwoven with strings, layered backing vocals, and pulsating beats. Despite this significant shift in genre, Yard Act remain a guarantee of quality and can get the crowd going in any weather.
