Zuzaně Navarové do nebes

Zuzaně Navarové do nebes
NEWLY ANNOUNCED

A unique project, highly acclaimed by both critics and the general public alike, last enchanted the audience on the opening day of Rock for People right after the Gorillaz set. Headliner magazine wrote about it: “It was an outstanding, soul-soothing concert and a deeply moving musical experience, during which time seemed to stand still and all other stages went quiet. We can only thank Rock for People for bringing such performances to the festival.” The concert Zuzaně Navarové do nebes, which will guide listeners through the entire musical era of this phenomenal Czech artist, will take place on November 14, 2026, at Nová Spirála.

Tickets on sale now at GoOut.

The creative union of the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra, the band RAZAM, and singer Iva Marešová was formed last year on the occasion of the major 800th anniversary of Hradec Králové—the birthplace of Zuzana Navarová. The evening, featuring her most famous songs such as Andělská, Malování, Námořnická, or Naruby, will undoubtedly offer powerful emotions tied to celebrating the life and work of an unmistakable icon of the domestic music scene.

This unique project will present the audience with new arrangements of Zuzana Navarová’s songs, brought to life through the original and sensitive delivery of the acclaimed singer, the band RAZAM, and the Hradec Králové philharmonic players. It follows in the footsteps of the Klicperovo divadlo theater production titled A pak usnu a vstanu, which was highly praised by both audiences and critics. The vocals will be complemented by William Valerián. Radek Doležal took care of the subtle yet spectacular song arrangements.

“If this celebration of Zuzana’s work hadn’t originated against the backdrop of celebrating our shared hometown, I probably would have never ventured into interpreting her songs on my own. There is a massive difference between presenting someone else’s work and presenting oneself through someone else’s work. You balance on a very fine line between two ways of approaching the interpretation, and it can easily happen that after a while, you don’t even notice that your ego has quietly taken over and you’re just flaunting borrowed plumes,” says Iva Marešová, adding: “For me, guarding this boundary is the alpha and omega every single moment we play for Zuzana in heaven. I believe that sensitivity, humility, respect, and love for Zuzana and her work—combined with the necessary dose of personal artistic freedom and creativity—can mutually create a musical essence that is enriching for everyone involved.”
